OK, forgive us, that was a terrible pun, but we just couldn’t resist.

Theoretically, Spring has sprung and we’ve got a few projects on the go at the moment. So now is as good a time as any to launch the Apulia Grove blog. It was always part of the plan to help keep people up to date with what we’re doing and how we’re going about it without harassing you through email, and will become a repository of all the things we’ve learned about olives and want to share over time. We’ll be posting olive grove care and maintenance information, recipes that make great use of extra virgin olive oil (and other farm produce as our farming enterprises expand), ruminations on farm life and so forth. If you’d like to learn about a specific topic, feel free to reach out with suggestions.

Given that it was Charles’ birthday recently (and he LOVES bad puns), we decided that we would start expanding the farm enterprises, so what says “Happy Birthday” like 150 chickens? They add a great deal of colour and movement about the place, as well as about nine dozen eggs per day. So if you or your family are after ethically free ranged eggs from a flock of pandered pasture pest patrollers, we can definitely help! Eggs can be ordered via the Shop for door-to-door delivery via Australia Post. If you live in the 50-150km radius circles in the image below, and would like to become a local hub for our farm produce delivery, please get in touch.
